J&P Miers Jewellery Studio

This working studio, in Mogo, is big on attention to detail, style and quality; while interaction with the jeweller is welcomed.

According to Alison Miers, the owner of J & P Miers: “It’s important that customers are involved with the design and creation of their jewellery. We have a lounge area in the workshop, where clients can discuss their jewellery design and sip freshly brewed coffee.”

J & P Miers Jewellery Studio is a small studio with a big history. This year marks twenty years since the store first opened. After a working holiday in New Zealand, John and Peter Miers came back with skills in jewellery design that would alter the course of their lives. Firstly operating in Cootamundra then relocating to Mogo. Sadly, the Miers brothers have now passed away but Alison continues the Miers brothers dream.

In 2004, Bloss Theodore begun her apprenticeship and now has a band of followers from around the globe. Bloss’ work can be described as innovative and unique. Pip Gordon is another member of the team. She has worked at J & P Miers for fifteen years, but recently started her apprenticship and spends one week every month honing her skills at Sydney’s Enmore Design Centre.

But custom designed jewellery is not the only investment you can make. Alison frequently travels abroad to source an exotic array of quality pieces. She recently returned from Greece with an intricate range of Byzantine inspired gold and silver designs.
