Jellybeads in Mogo opened in August 2005 in the loft above Suzannes Coffee Shop at the northern end of Mogo before moving to our current location next to the Mogo Nursery in the centre of the village. Previously, we sold our beads regularly at the Moruya Country Markets.

Our current premises is a restored miners cottage dating back to the nineteenth century.

Restoration began in early 2005. The building has been home to lots of businesses in the past as well as being home to many local families.

At Jellybeads, we love to share our knowledge and love of beads.

We offer a delicious range of beads from around the world. They look good enough to eat. A love of Asian design led us to bring in a range of Cloisonné, Enamel, Ceramic, Cinnabar, Boxwood and Peking Glass beads. We have also built up a wide range of Japanese Seed Beads from Miyuki and Matsuno. This range continues to expand.

We carry a good range of sterling silver findings and beads from Bali; freshwater pearls, mother of pearl beads, coral together with lampwork and foil beads from China; and high quality tools and findings from the USA. We also carry a range of handmade lampwork beads from a number of Australian lamp workers. Traditional beads from Greece, Africa and Kashmir are also stocked.

We run classes regularly. Our Wednesday afternoon class is very popular. We run activities for birthday parties and hens parties and will design activities to suit the skill level and to a budget.

School holiday classes run every morning. Our DIY table is available every afternoon. For a small cost per hour, you choose your beads, use our tools and space to design your own piece, make it and take it home that afternoon. There is always help available to get your started and finished. We also offer one-on-one tuition during quieter times to teach you the basics or a particular technique so that you can further your skills and enjoyment of beading.

Children are always welcome in our little shop. We pay jellybeans for beads picked up from the floor - hence our name.
