The Leather Hideaway was established in 1985. Its roots were in the early 70’s when the leather industry was largely a craft business. There was little competition then apart from limited imported products from Europe or somewhat poorer quality goods from India. These days, however, products carrying the “Made in India” label have greatly improved in quality and range, just as the appeal for leather goods has grown.

Leather Hideaway’s aim is simple – to provide quality leather goods at realistic prices. I have spanned many changes in the leather and fashion industries. My lifetime experience as a leatherworker enables me, as a buyer, to select product that I believe is superior allowing me to sell with confidence.

For 25 years I have listened to the needs of my customers and have no doubt you will find just what you are looking for from my practical and stylish range of wallets, purses and handbags.

Travel introduces many of us to new cultures. My leather business has allowed me to trade in objects from all around the world. When you call in to the Leather Hideaway you might find a reminder of your own travels, or merely glean some inspiration for a new adventure! You will also find interesting work of talented local artists.

There is also a good old fashioned repair service at hand. We all have things we treasure and yours might just be leather! There aren’t many things I haven’t fixed over the years so give me a try before you throw that favourite but broken thing out!
